Download Free Bible Tracts in MS Word Format
Now you can download and print your
own Bible tracts on your printer. All tracts will print on printers that can handle 11” x 17” paper
or on 8.5”
x 11” paper. (See the
active links on the tracts below to determine which files are available
that are compatible with letter-sized paper.)
Or better yet, take or download the free
MS Word files
to your local Kinkos or other similar printing service company.
In the United States, Kinkos of Anaheim Hills,
for example, will print, fold,
and trim them for you. Just call them at 714-970-0722 and ask for
the Project Coordinator on duty. Tell the Project Coordinator that you are
calling about the Bible Tracts Project special pricing. The Project
Coordinator will tell you how to get the MS Word file to their office. They
will print, fold, trim, and ship them to you for a very special low price
plus a small shipping fee. This local Kinko's quoted less than $70 to
print, fold and trim 250 sheets (black ink only). That 7¢
each, folks! Full color 11” x 17”
sheets printed on both sides can cost around 25¢ per tract (about $1 per
page).
These tracts look great when printed on a color
laser printer. For best results, use 8.5”
x 11” landscape mode (or 8.5”
x 11” landscape mode for letter-sized
paper), printing duplex
(i.e., on both sides of the paper).
Special Note: These tracts
are produced as Microsoft Word files, so you can edit them yourself. Why
not add your name and contact information in the contact box on each tract
before you print them, so whoever you give them to can call you for more
information? After you have opened the file, just click on File,
Properties, Custom and then edit the fields
for your name, address, and telephone number. You can also put a blank
space in the field to print the fields as blanks.
If you wish to print PDF files, note
that they do not have a pre-printed name and address on them. They do
have, however, a form field with the words "Your Name Here" and other words
in the various other form fields. Open the file in Acrobat Reader and
click on the fields in the first form field panel. Remove the words by
inserting a space in each form field, or replace them with your name and
address. Save the file under another name. Then print them.
Folding Instructions

Fold the 11” x 17”
sheets in half, and then in half again. Then cut the folded sheet into
four folded tracts. A 250 sheet press run will result in 1,000 8-panel
tracts. You could also cut along the first fold, and then fold, cut and
staple as in the diagram below. |

Note that
the 8.5” x 11”
letter-sized tracts have 8 panels, as the 11” x 17”
sheets have, but quite a bit more effort is required to assemble the 8.5” x 11”
letter-sized tract: the 8-panel 8.5” x 11”
letter-sized tract must be folded, cut and
stapled, whereas the 8-panel 11”
x 17” tract only needs to be folded and cut. |

All
files are laid out with four tracts per page on 11”x17”
or 8.5” x 11”
pages,
or with four tracts per page on two 8.5” x 11”
pages. The actual images are subject to revision from time to time,
so content may vary slightly from the illustrations.
